TF2 (Team Fortress 2) has recently been updated with the new Mann vs Machine Mode, a CO-OP Gamemode where you and 5 others ( 6 Players ) vs waves of Machines (Bots), You earn money to upgrade your character & weapons.

This mode has made TF2 Very popular recently, Valve has only 300 Servers ( Enough for 1,800 Players ) Yet around 100,000 People play TF2 everyday, so many people find them selves in a waiting list of 10,000 +

We have now upgraded the server's OS to Ubuntu 12.04

The Server & its control panel was down for around 24hours, Also customers was credited 1 free extra week because of this.

This included moving the customer database & all of our customers servers across onto the new set of SSD's

Some maintenance will be effecting our main customer server, as known as SUPERSVR3, We are looking at expanding our customer servers onto SUPERSVR1 also, this will mean we are looking at pairing both of these servers enabling the control panel to have access to this server.

This will mean customers can have game servers on both of these servers & only need to use one control panel to access them.

Why are we doing this ? - As we are gaining more & more customers, hosting more & more servers, we want to split the hosted game servers evenly over our customer server which in turn gives better performance and speed for them & their players on the servers.

Some maintenance will be effecting our main customer server, as known as SUPERSVR3, We are looking at storage management for the server splitting up some of the SSD's and allocate to some of our larger customers ( better performance for them ) Will be posted in detail in a future post. Maintenance for that is expected during the next 2 weeks.

All customers will be contacted about this and we are offering a temporary service on another server will the maintenance is being carried out, all customers effected will be credited with extra days.

We are running a full backup of the server in its current state tonight as most of the servers will be inactive during this time.

We expect the backup of the system to only take a few hours.

We now have our Game Server Control Panel in Beta stage, For all of our existing customers we are offering up-to 30% extra time for their services they have with us. For our new customers, we still have our deal prices on for a while longer.

After launching a successful event 2 months ago we are now closing the event on Sunday 15h April. We have had nearing 75 Applications over the past 2 months.

The experience has worked well for us dealing with customers and server issues as well as making new friends along the way. We are pleased that many have now put forward interests of renting servers from us & some even going into being a reseller for us.

(This only means that there will be no new applications for a Sponsored Server after 15th April) Existing services will continue until the sponsored time is up.

the2047group's Web Server has been upgraded recently with new faster SSD's & a new CPU.

Websites / The server should perform slightly faster than it previously did.

Changes : Mainly the IP address of the server has been changed, We are sad to see our popular IP address change, As it the majority of our websites & online resource.

Recently we launched a new event “Server Sponsoring” The idea of the event is for 2047Servers to sponsor other gaming community’s with Game Servers, This event is going very well so far. We had 5 Applications within the first 10hours of opening the event, along with much interest on our Steam Page.

So far we have setup Servers for 4 community’s 3 of which we are sponsoring 12Slot Counter Strike 1.6 Servers for. The other is a Killing Floor server.....

Here we go again, Another event from 2047Games/2047Servers this time. With the new launch of our 3rd Super Server we are now going to dedicate that server for our new event.

The aim of this event is to provide Game Servers to community’s across the Steam Platform (Valve Game Servers) We are looking to provide the full range of Valves Game Servers from Counter Strike 1.6, Condition Zero, Source, Team Fortress 2, Day of Defeat Source, Garry's Mod, Half Life 2, left4dead series, Killing Floor & Many more.
